The last day of spending
So today is the last day of frivolous spending. We went to target and bought baby girl a couple of new balls which she totally loves. And I had planned on buying her a toy that projects stars and moons on the wall at night but I was good and put it back. I think I could find something like that at a resell shop. Or if any of you have one you are ready to part with let me know. Also we went and ate Whataburger for lunch. Yumm! It was so good! Then we headed to Kohl's to buy Bob some new dress shirts to go with the suits he got for Christmas. He will be looking sharp for his job interviews. Hopefully it will help him land the job. I'm getting very nervous of this challenge. I am determined to stick to it but I'm sure it will be a rough couple of months getting use to just not buying things and budgeting.

Here we go!
Well we are taking the plunge. Bob and I are committing to a frugal challenge to buy nothing new for one year. You can read the rules on the right hand side. We definitely need to learn to cut back on our spending (um mostly me), pay off credit cards, and save. I am excited to walk this journey with some fellow DAM moms, you can follow their blogs also on my blog roll. I will be using this blog to hold myself accountable, post about the emotional ups and downs of this journey, and to let you know about the great deals I find. My challenge starts on Jan. 1, 2009. Wish me luck and savings in the new year.
